1979 Clem Burke

the day after the 1979 BLONDIE CONCERT in Seattle, WA.. at the Paramount Theater. Which I loved to see. Debbie shined a light on me and others in the audience. She stopped on me for longer than usual; she used mirrors and a spot at her footlights level from the footlights.

I had written her about placing spotlights at the level of the footlights for an erie, ghastly look, but she did that but used it with more imagination than I have. With a mirror in each hand, shining the light onto the audience was a grand, cool effect. I will never forget the mirror shining on me for moments longer; it seemed I closed my eyes even.

Once, I framed Debbie with my hands, making a movie frame. I recall that also not with the mirrored lights, but earlier, like ""catch me if you can is what you said with your hands."" She sings in some song

so a day after the concert I decided to see what my friend Bob Art is up to he was always with Debbie it was at his party I met her, and he came to my party where she was also, and I knocked on the door. He answers and is talking to someone in the front room. As he opens the door, I enter, and Bobart and Clem Burke are having a chat, so I enter and am floored. "THE DRUMMER," I exclaim in a loud, ruckus voice, looking at clem, me being nearly star-struck. "THE DRUMMER, THE DRUMMER??" clem looks disturbed for a bit

then i say the world's best drummer..... pause a minute or two while clem seemly embarrassed by that remark and looks stern, then ends with "Well, that is what I was told.. by a friend," I said

Clem takes less than a minute to figure it out and smile nicely  haha

I don't recall what Bobart, and he talked about; it was rare I said anything else, but I might have a bit here and there when asked
