May Sketch a Day 2018 #01
For every day this month I'll be posting a sketch for my Wanderers story. I'm also going to use this opportunity to work on improving my writing with story bits to go with each piece.

- Aerobraking - 
The second phase of aerobraking is going surprisingly rougher than the first. The ship is shaking way more than our flyby around the sun, to think that would have been worse considering how much faster we were going. That first crew down to Planet B has no idea how good they've got it not having to endure this.
I'm still pissed at how many ships they took down to Planet B. We should have prioritized getting the ship back into stable condition instead of splitting our resources. Getting the colony running down there is going to take far longer than getting things straight up here. Now we have to wait even longer to get off of the ship. This ship won't get to Planet B for another decade at least!
It's fascinating to think that we covered that distance between these two planets in just a few weeks coming in as fast as we were. Interesting how finally having some objects relative to each other has given me some perspective in just how much space between things there actually is. 
I'm looking forward to get into orbit around that moon though. Maybe once we mine enough resources from the asteroids we can take a shuttle down there and see what it's like. If it is vegetated like they say, maybe it's the closest thing I'll ever get to seeing what Earth is like, or perhaps was like.
